i had a colleague who had a problem with the term “Developing Countries” — he would always say, “they’re “developing” into what???” i never quite understood what he meant until recently. its this air of superiority that countries like America have, thinking everyone is trying to become them (us). are we that arrogant that we can’t simply accept the many different lifestyles of the world?...
